
Edwin Surjali is an alumnus of Curtin University Australia majoring in Software Engineering. He currently serves as Commissioner of PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari.
Edwin started his career at Kindai Technology, a company engaged in trading plates, aluminum and fittings, slitting & stamping. Edwin contributed to developing fittings, slitting to Kindai Technology operations. Not only that, in 2010 Edwin Surjali spread his wings by establishing PT Arte Builder which is engaged in the field of
General Contractor. A year later Edwin founded PT Karya Prima Consultan. Edwin Surjali became a partner in cooperation with several large property companies in Surabaya. In addition, Edwin also received a tender from the TNI Headquarters for the construction of barracks in Papua and Surabaya.

PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk (ELPI) has just released its financial report for the first quarter of 2024. In the report, the company's revenue is recorded to have jumped to Rp300.629 billion in the first three months of this year. This figure represents a 41 percent increase compared to ELPI's revenue for the same period last year, which stood at Rp212.552 billion. From this achievement, the company managed to set aside a net profit of IDR 63.048 billion, an increase of 42 percent from IDR 44.407 billion for the same comparison period," said ELPI President Director Eka Taniputra in his official statement.

PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk (ELPI) has secured contracts worth IDR 900 billion this year. Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari President Director Eka Taniputra said that ELPI's potential revenue could reach around IDR 2.3 trillion in 2026. "Currently, there are several tenders underway. We are waiting for good news from the management team," he explained in a public presentation on Thursday (24/4).
Eka said that if the tender is decided and ELPI is named the winner, ELPI will begin building new ships to serve the contract. “We have decided to add several new ships to support the potential contract worth IDR 2.3 trillion,” he said.
The details are as follows: one multicat vessel, five Tug & Barge vessels, six to seven offshore support vessels, and one to three fast combat boats (FCB). To purchase new vessels, ELPI has prepared a capital expenditure (capex) budget of Rp 1 trillion for this year.
